Carolyn Jackson, a partner in Katten Muchin Rosenman UK LLP, is quoted in Automated Trader on how lessons learned from SEFs in the United States might translate to incoming venues called Organised Trading Facilities (OTFs) in Europe. As part of the Futures & Options World conference Mifid II for Brokers, she joined panelists for the discussion “Clearer Waters: Transparency and Best Execution,” which addressed operational challenges in transparency requirements on Mifid II. Carolyn commented that more accountability is needed at the senior management level: "There are so many good intentions to set up the (monitoring) process but then the ongoing monitoring falls apart, and that is why really with senior managers, one should be setting up a culture of compliance and an ability to follow through."
