Partners Seth R. Madorsky and Alvin Katz and staff attorney Kellye J. Bowers will participate in the Fifth Annual Conference on Commercial Real Estate Leases on October 6–7. The seminar will provide insightful, practical information useful to real estate business representatives, lawyers, brokers, lenders and other professionals in negotiating, documenting and enforcing commercial leases.

Seth, who serves as program co-chair, will open the event with an introduction and overview at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6.

Also on Monday, Alvin will participate in a discussion on "Negotiating Leases in an Improving Economic Environment" at 10:30 a.m. The panel will discuss hot-button issues for landlords, tenants and lenders; key lease provisions that are frequently negotiated; ways to find compromises to settle difficult negotiations; and how lease provisions tie together.

Kellye will participate in a discussion on "Addressing Threshold Legal Issues at the Outset: Preventing the Deal From Going Sideways" at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7. The panel will discuss strategies for negotiation of letters of intent; common legal issues that often complicate deals if not addressed early; and considerations involved with engaging lawyers at the early stages of the transaction.
