Government and Public Finance Partner Chad Doobay spent a week in South Korea as part of a study delegation administered by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. The study delegation, sponsored by the Korea Foundation, was designed to allow mid-career professionals in Chicago's business, public policy and nonprofit communities to develop an understanding of current affairs in South Korea and to promote cultural understanding and exchange.

Chad met with governmental representatives, journalists and policy experts in Seoul, learning about business, infrastructure development, national security and human rights issues facing the Korean peninsula. "South Korea is making important investments in its people and in its infrastructure," said Chad. "At this important time in South Korea's history, it was incredible to have the opportunity to examine issues both of development and movements of people at such a close level."
