(NEW YORK) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP today announced that attorney Stanford A. Renas has joined the firm as partner in its Structured Finance and Securitization Practice out of New York. Renas joins Katten with extensive experience in securitizing financial and hard assets in both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Historically, Renas has focused on structured energy, commodity and carbon-related transactions, including project finance, structured acquisition finance and accounting, tax and bankruptcy-driven transactions. He represents energy companies, commodity and swap dealers, brokerage firms and financial industry professionals in a wide variety of transactional, regulatory and legislative matters.

Renas also has extensive experience with cash-flow and market-value collateralized debt obligations, credit-linked notes and structured derivatives trades, as well as insurance products, focusing on alternative risk transfer solutions, including longevity trades, catastrophe bonds and Triple-X transactions.

Renas received his JD from Columbia Law School and his BS from The Pennsylvania State University.
