Health Care partner Laura Keidan Martin will moderate "A Conversation with CMS: Modernizing and Clarifying the Physician Self-Referral Regulations and Beyond" during the 39th Annual Health Law Symposium beginning at 1:00 p.m. (CT) on Thursday, November 18. The conversation will focus on understanding the new exceptions for facilitating the transitions to value-based care; clarifying policy and revisions to rules on payment discrepancies, the use of payment by physician exception, and the isolated transactions exception; and new flexibilities including limited remuneration in the absence of documentation, donations of cybersecurity technology, and the 90-day grace period for writing and signature requirements.
